Letting Solutions is open for business, albeit strictly in line with all the required rules around the Coronavirus epidemic. Members of the Team are working remotely covering all aspects of the business. Our hours of business are unchanged, namely:
Monday to Friday from 9.15 am to 5 pm except on Wednesdays, when we do training and open from 11am to 5pm.
As explained in our Facebook updates, there are limits on the services we continue to offer but so far as allowed we will continue to provide the usual help and guidance.
The main impact will be on our services away from the office. These would include viewings, inventories, move-ins, inspections, exits and non-emergency repairs. However we continue to explore ways of doing such tasks remotely, with some already done.
Office based services continue, much as normal. These include advice and guidance to tenants and landlords, financial issues such as rents, and the handling of emergency repairs, for example for safety reasons. The Team will be able to advise on emergency repairs which can go ahead.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be working hard to ensure that move-ins already in progress at the time of the lockdown can be completed. Special measures are being taken to ensure that the necessary Government and safety regulations can be strictly observed. In this respect we are being advised by Landlord Registration at West Lothian Council.
Our ability to progress new lets to move-in will depend on the extent of any future loosening of the rules with the safety of tenants, landlords, contractors and our Team being paramount. We will be looking sensitively at circumstances where delays in lets/move-ins could have significant consequences. For example in the case of key NHS staff, serious illness, or domestic violence. But any action here will depend on the agreement of the relevant authorities, and of course safety considerations.
